There is a wealth of archival information available to bring your family’s history to life after a search of census and civil registration records have been exhausted. For example, wills, memorial inscriptions, newspapers, parish registers, military, employment, education and church records, could be used to further illustrate your family history. Some documents are available online, but many more are only available from record offices, archives and libraries.
For non-online documents I am happy to carry out research in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire repositories. Please enquire about research in other counties.
After a free initial consultation, I charge for the following at an hourly rate of £24.00:
Other expenses charged to the client include:
If you prefer, you may pay a capped fee to include all charges, and I will report back to you once the allotted funds have been used. There is a deposit and minimum charge of £48.00 which will be required before work can begin.
If you would like to go ahead then please read next steps and contact me to start your research.
Unfortunately due to my current heavy workload I am unable to take on work for new clients until July
2019. If however, you would like to discuss your research plan and reserve a slot from this date then please contact me.
Sue managed to provide us with more information on our family when our search came to a standstill. Fantastic, insightful and suprising results. Thank you for all of your help. L.B.
